Golden Door releases a new product to scrub away winter woes
Dry skin season is upon us, and even those with oily skin are looking for products to keep their skin soft and smooth. Between body butters and oils, landing on a good combination can be rough, especially for winter brides, photoshoots, and events. Golden Door believes they have the answer.
Golden Door launched their new body scrub, Bamboo Butter Scrub, and it’s noticeably different from any scrub I’ve ever used. But let’s breakdown this product and why it’s worth considering for use on, and suggestion for, your clients.
It’s natural—meaning that it can be used on sensitive skin without any concern about reaction to smells, parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. The scent is delicate and created with naturally-derived aromatic extracts.
It’s effective without irritating the skin. The blueberry fruit extract actually works against inflammation and irritation to lead to soothed skin. The natural cane sugar, bamboo, and crushed hibiscus make for perfect exfoliators, sloughing off that dead skin without leaving your client feeling raw. And a major bonus? The bamboo stem powder improves the overall appearance of skin (particularly with extended use).
Finally, it’s both nourishing for your skin and your conscience. In place of a shea or cocoa butter, Golden Door uses mango seed butter—cold-pressed from the seeds—to leave skin feeling moisturized, but not greasy. The scrub is actually a solid until heated up by the skin, so there’s no messy application process. And what really impressed me was the fact that Golden Door donates 100 percent of profits to help end child abuse through select charities.

Though this scrub could be used in a number of ways, I immediately thought of how perfect it would be for nail techs. It would be an excellent addition to any manicure or pedicure, adding an extra-special, pampered touch to your treatments that would leave your clients asking what scrub you used and if they could buy it from you. It’s also a great suggestion for brides and clients who are prepping for those chilly winter weddings and events. You might even decide to pick some up for yourself!
This product retails for $58.00 for 8.5 fl oz. You can learn more about it at goldendoor.com.
