Redken, PRÊTE, Goody, and the BeYOUtiful Foundation team up to provide support for cancer patients across the country

Beauty starts on the inside, and Redken, Goody, and PRÊTE brought that inner beauty out with their National Blowout Week that took place at the end of July. This event used to be reserved for a single day, but this year they extended the event into an entire week, booking blowout appointments for their pop-up shop that made stops in Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco. They even extended the event to the entire nation, allowing participants to make an appointment for a blowout through the PRÊTE app, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to their nonprofit partner, the BeYOUtiful Foundation.
The BeYOUtiful Foundation is a new nonprofit, started by the founders of Nine Zero One Salon, Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri, along with their friend Matt Coulter. The purpose of this organization is to provide comfort and services for women diagnosed with cancer to show that no one has to fight alone. These services range from providing salon services and education (the foundation connects salons and stylists to local survivors and provides online education covering cutting, styling, utilizing wigs, and dealing with chemo hair), to helping bring meals to hospitals across the country.
Not only do we want to support the community we’re building, we want to provide a platform for others to make their own impact.
“The two biggest goals of The BeYOUtiful Foundation are to create community for survivors and cancer patients to lean on when times are tough and to provide education for those servicing this deserving community,” said President of the BeYOUtiful Foundation Matt Coulter. “All funds from this event will go directly to furthering this mission.”
The missions of all of these companies coincide so well with one other that Coulter couldn’t be more thrilled to work with them. “Our motto is #bettertogether, so being able to partner with Redken and PRÊTE is a dream,” said Coulter. “We can’t do this alone, so finding individuals and brands that believe in our mission is vital. We’re so thankful for the love and support from both of these teams.”
While these types of fundraising events have a monetary goal in mind, Coulter insists that money isn’t everything. “We never put a monetary goal on what we do—that’s not what it is all about,” said Coulter. “Our foundation is about loving people when they need it the most, so if one person feels supported, cared about, or uplifted, it’s a win.”
Events like National Blowout Week are a shining and inspirational example of what is possible when individuals and brands come together to support a cause. “Events like these are everything,” said Coulter. “Not only do we want to support the community we’re building, we want to provide a platform for others to make their own impact.”
