Each year Kissable Lips Cosmetics hosts and sponsors an annual Fantasy Makeup Competition. This competition is all about creativity and thinking outside the box! A makeup artist herself, Michele Carr, the creator of Kissable Lips Cosmetics, noticed that not many competitions highlighted the extraordinary talent of makeup artists. Nearly every existing show or competition always included the use of makeup, but there were no shows that primarily featured makeup artistry. As a result, Kissable Lips Cosmetics created the Fantasy Makeup Competition to celebrate makeup artists! All photographers and hair stylists know that a beauty look just isn’t complete without makeup, so why not recognize and celebrate makeup artists!
Each year makeup artists compete for cash and prizes, exposure and the title of Best Fantasy Makeup Artist of the Year! Each look created by the competing makeup artists is created using Kissable Lips Cosmetics products! Winners of the competition have gone on to do great things, including network with the industry’s “Who’s Who,” work on movie sets and music videos, work with celebrities, and be featured in a host of magazines.
Since its humble beginnings in 2010, the Fantasy Makeup Competition has grown tremendously. As the event grew, Kissable Lips Cosmetics noticed a void in the industry and that another creative segment of the industry—nail technicians—had been ignored for far too long. As a result, Kissable Lips Cosmetics added another competition to the mix—The Fantasy Nail Design Competition! In this competition, nail techs from across the globe battle for cash, prizes and the title of Best Fantasy Nail Designer of the Year! Event attendees now get two shows for the price of one, where a total of $5,000 is now awarded annually. The event also boasts the best host in the world—comedienne Wanda Smith, formerly of Atlanta-based radio station WVEE – V-103!
