WHAT DO VIDEO GAMES, FAST FOOD, AND SKINCARE HAVE IN COMMON? BOYS!
There are things that pre-teen/tween/teen boys love: video games, sports, and fast food. And then there are things that they definitely don’t love: communication, cleaning their rooms, and taking care of their skin. We can’t help you with the communication or clean-up, but we CAN help you with their skin. Welcome to Stryke Club (If you’re interested in becoming a brand affiliate please click here: SkimLinks Affiliates)!
Stryke Club was founded by four moms — a pediatric dermatologist, a family therapist, a product development guru, and an entrepreneur — with a common goal. The founders noticed their sons were struggling with acne but didn’t have the proper tools to fight it. So, they joined together to find a remedy for teenage-boy breakouts in a world that does not prioritize skincare for boys. After more than two years of development led by a board-certified pediatric dermatologist, Stryke Club released a line of effective, hypoallergenic, no-fuss products that takes into account teenagers’ unique and changing skin barrier, treats unexpected breakouts, and reduces irritation and acne related to adolescent testosterone and shaving. With the expert input of both skincare and mental health professionals, Stryke Club provides a locker room-worthy solution to help teen boys feel more confident and develop good grooming habits for life.
A simple Google search, “boys skincare” will come up with zero articles on how to treat boy’s skin. No tips, no trends, no products specifically developed for their skin. You’ll find articles trying to fit a square peg into a round hole: use a women’s moisturizer, use a clinical soap, but boy’s skin is different. The Stryke Club line up is non fussy and contains products that boys will only complain a little about using.
Real Talk? Boys are lazy. Maybe they wash their face, maybe they “forget.” Wipe Out Cleansing Wipes are refreshing towelettes that can be used post workout, or to start the day. It just can’t get any easier. Formulated with biodegradable plant based ingredients and materials so he won’t experience the roughness and redness common with other cleansing wipes.
One product cleans it all. Those are the magic words guys need to hear. Everywhere Wash is a shower cleanser for his body and face in a refreshing Pacific scent.
Face it, the first thing people see is his face. The unscented Face First Wash is specially formulated with an innovative ingredient designed to eliminate the bacteria that can cause breakouts. The idea is to stop skin problems before they even think about starting.
We know you’ve said this too many times to count: Calm Down! Only now it’s in a positive way. Calm Down Moisturizer is a lightweight moisturizer which functions as a protective shield for his skin against dryness and pollutants. It actually fights acne and dry skin at the same time. It’s airy enough to feel like he’s not wearing anything (vital), yet buildable if he needs a heavier moisture. Specially formulated with sodium hypochlorite to help keep skin clear and calm.
This is it folks. The Holy Grail for teenaged skin. Breakouts always happen at the worst times right? So he’ll need to have Stryke Stick around! This portable spot treatment uses Salicylic Acid to clear acne in a hurry. Just apply it on pimples 2x daily and watch them disappear. And unlike some acne treatments, it dries clear so he can go about his life looking normal – whatever that may look like for him…
You can’t put a filter on real life. Stryke Club’s mission is to help guys develop good grooming habits early on so they can roll with the punches, confidently! Bundles are available that fit his distinct needs and personality. From the football field to the chess club, and everything in between, boys have a common need: skincare developed for their needs. SPOTLIGHT ON SCIENCE
You know when you see “dermatologist-formulated” on our packaging? We’re talking about our co-founder, Dr. Sheilagh Maguiness. She’s a board-certified pediatric dermatologist with a busy clinical practice and a passion for teaching. She is devoted to educating patients, families, and primary care providers about childhood skin conditions.
Through Stryke Club, Dr. Sheilagh helped develop a personal care brand to address the needs of boys in particular. Along with her Stryke Club partners, she set out to fill the gap in boys’ skincare. The team found the perfect combination of mild surfactants (ie: cleansers) and a common, effective ingredient (ie: sodium hypochlorite) to help fight dirt and bacteria – and put them together to make a cleanser specifically for boys.
